Fedora is not about the swag, but we all know that swag does help making a better event. I have to skip some time from office to do some errants. As I was leaving the country I have to leave all my work stuff ready, not pressure, right?
The design for the roll up banner was not ready until last night courtesy of Aura Lila. I choose a banner from the marketing collateral, but the source were not available. She did all the drawing again. I am leaving a link for other people to use it. So the first stop on my way to work was to stop by the print shop giving them the file, and waiting for them to make sure they can open it correctly. Not as smooth as I wanted, but it worked out. They gave me a sample on the stickers, those were already printed, but they need to cut them. They promised that by the end of the day everything will be ready.
Second task was to look for leaflets. Katherine made a good work, I just made one update on one link. I was supposed to take that to a copy shop, but I printed them on my office. I always have problems with two side printing, but I manage to do it.
Third look for the media. It was not ready. At least I have agreed that if they run into problems with dead line I will need some CD and DVD. They went for it and dropped 50 LiveCD and 50 Install DVD at my office in the afternoon.
As a follow up of the first task, I went back to the print shop at closing time. They have everything ready. Stickers and the roll up banner.
Fourth and last was getting the cheat cubes. I went after dinner to a copy shop were they printed on a tabloid size thin cardboard three cubes, this way I got most from the material with less cardboard wasted. I printed twelve to send some to other ambassadors.
Packaging my backpack was the last thing to do for a early bus ride the following morning.

Fedora no se centra en los regalos, pero todos sabemos que ellos ayudan a hacer un mejor evento. Yo tuve que tomarme un tiempo de la oficina para hacer algunos mandados. Como estaba dejando el país, tenía que dejar mis cosas ede trabajo n orden. Sin presiones, cierto?
El diseño del banner estuvo listo hasta la noche anterior, cortesía de Aura Lila. Yo escogí un banner que estaba en la wiki de elementos de mercadeo, pero la fuente no estaba disponible. Ella realizó todo el dibujo de nuevo. Yo estoy dejando un enlace para que otras personas lo puedan utilizar. Así que mi primera parada fue por la imprenta para darles el archivo, y esperar para estar seguro que podían abrirlo correctamente. No tan fácil como hubiera deseado, pero funcionó. Ellos me dieron una muestra de las calcomanías, esas ya estaban impresas pero aun faltaba cortarlas. Ellos prometieron que para el final del dia todo estaría listo.
La segunda tarea era buscar los panfletos. Katherine realizó un tremendo trabajo, lo único que hice fue actualizar unos enlaces. Yo suponía llevarlos a un centro de copias, pero al final los imprimí en la oficina. Yo siempre he tenido problemas con impresiones a dos caras, pero logre hacerlo.
La tercera cosa es buscar los discos. No estaban listos, pero de antemanos habíamos acordado que si había problemas iba a necesitar algunos CD y algunos DVD. Ellos tomaron esta opción y me entregaron en mi oficina en la tarde 50 LiveCD ay 50 DVD de instalación
Como seguimiento de la priemta tarea, yo fui a la imprenta a la hora de cierre. Ellos tenían todo listo. Las calcomanías y el banner.
Cuarto y último, obtener los cubos truqueros. Yo fui después de cena a un centro de copias donde ellos imprimen en un tabloide de cartulina tres cubos. De esta forma se obtiene el máximo del material con menos desperdicio. Imprimí doce tabloides para enviar algunos a otros embajadores.
